MAM Degree Learning Outcomes
A graduate of United’s Master of Arts in Ministry degree program will be able to:
- Interpret ancient religious texts, including the Hebrew Bible and New Testament, with basic proficiency adequate for a basis for preaching and teaching with graduate-level sophistication.
- Demonstrate basic graduate-level theological understanding adequate to form the basis for preaching, teaching, counseling or other core vocation of ministry.
- Appropriately and respectfully apply knowledge of multiple religious, spiritual and ethical frameworks to contemporary situations.
- Articulate their desired ministry field and possess self-awareness of their strengths and growth areas in the context of that chosen ministry field.
- Express in-depth knowledge of contemporary issues and approaches in multiple distinct practices of ministry.
