Ryan S. Higgins


ADJUNCT PROFESSOR

Ryan S. Higgins, M.A., is a PhD candidate in Hebrew Bible and Its Interpretation at the Jewish Theological Seminary. His dissertation takes a literary and sociological approach to the transformation of identity in the Pentateuch. Ryan’s research interests include literary and feminist criticism, speculative fiction, and Jewish biblical interpretation. His most recent articles appeared in the journals Interpretation and Journal of Feminist Studies in Religion. Before teaching at United, Ryan has taught courses at the Jewish Theological Seminary, Columbia University, and Luther Seminary.
