Robert Patrick

Robert Patrick resides in metro Atlanta with his spouse. They have three grown children, two grandchildren, and a dog named Millie. He holds a BA in Biblical Literature from Oral Roberts University, a Masters of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University, and a PhD in Latin and Classical Studies from the University of Florida.  His dissertation focused on the presence of sacred groves in the Metamorphoses of Ovid as nonlinear transformative events. While teaching Latin at the high school level for 32 years, his adjunct teaching includes work in linguistics, language pedagogy, Latin, Ancient Greek, biblical literature, ritual, theology and spirituality. His religious and spiritual path is labyrinthine including ministry in the United Methodist Church, the Roman Catholic Church, and for the last 20 years, modern Druidry and Unitarian Universalism. He understands his Earth-centered spiritual path as the way of weaving together all of these aspects of his life.
