Andrew Wright

Andrew C. Wright (he/him/his), M.Div., is a Ph.D. candidate in Christian Ethics and Philosophy of Religion at Fuller Theological Seminary. His dissertation focuses on moral perception/blindness and the distorting effects of white supremacy in ordinary forms of life, through engagement with ordinary-language philosophy, decolonial theory, and liberative theological praxis. His research seeks to more deeply understand the rich legacy of moral perception embodied in collective solidarity actions for justice and liberation. Andrew also co-edited (with Ryan Andrew Newson) three volumes of The Collected Works of James Wm. McClendon, Jr. (Baylor University Press, 2014, 2016), and has published scholarly articles and reviews. Before United, Andrew taught at Augsburg University and the TREC (Transformation through Re-Entry and Community) program at Minneapolis College. He also works as the Director of Programs for Mennonite Central Committee, Central States, an Anabaptist relief, development, and peacebuilding organization.
