Dr. Peter Bauck teaches in the Interreligious Chaplaincy program. He received his Ph.D. in from Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN, in pastoral care and counseling. His dissertation made a normative theological claim for the practice empathy in conflicts over life sustaining treatment in the hospital. Overall, his research interests and publications revolve around empathy, moral psychology, and human development. He was part of The Confirmation Project research team as a graduate assistant and qualitative researcher. He received his M.Div. from Yale University Divinity School. Peter is a staff chaplain in Minnesota with over nine years of experience. He is a member of the Association of Professional Chaplains, the American Academy of Religion, and ordained in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.
