Chapel for Orthodox Matins: Matins (or “orthros”) is one of the daily service cycles in the Orthodox Church and is usually celebrated in the morning. It is led by one or more “readers,” typically chanted, and includes numerous prayers and readings of biblical texts. All are invited to attend and participate as they feel comfortable. A brief introduction to matins and its main elements will be given at the beginning.
