In this special arts lunch, we will honor the work of beloved children’s book author Eric Carle, who died this last week on May 23, 2021. In the first half of this arts lunch we will look at some of Carle’s works and discuss the relationship to his collage medium, ecology, and the “sacredness” of children’s books. We will then play around with collage in the second half of the workshop. We recommend bringing paper, paint or markers, magazines, scissors, and/or glue to this arts lunch.
