    Worship: Exploring Redemption, Reparations, and Repentance

    Alum Anthony Jermaine Ross-Allam, currently working on his PhD in Social Ethics at Union, will be speaking this weekend as part of an MLK event sponsored by Westminster Presbyterian Church and Liberty. Anthony will be talking about “the social ecology that inspires, justifies, ignores, rewards and excuses extralegal violence against AfroAmericans after Emancipation.” See the link below for full details.

    MLK Day Event: The King Lives—Call Us What We Carry

    Hosted by Nativity Lutheran Church, 1st Covenant Church Minneapolis, with Spoken Word Poet Joe Davis, this intergenerational virtual event will bring together speakers of all ages to re-enact segments of speeches made by a world changer of their choosing.     Intro to Chapel Preparation and Leadership

Emily Meyer (’09) for one of two workshops – 11:00 AM-12:00 PM and again 7:00-8:00 PM – both January 18, for an introduction to chapel preparation and leadership. Inspiration, templates, pitfalls to avoid, and time to determine your own theme, format, and essential elements are all included! No registration required.     The Ministry Lab’s Midweek Retreat

    A group for support, fellowship, and preparation for ordination and ecclesiastical councils.

    United Church of Christ (UCC) student group will meet twice a month starting in February on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 3 PM CT.

    We are happy to announce that Rev. T. Michael Rock has agreed to advise our student group. Rev. T. Michael is Co-Pastor at Robbinsdale Parkway, was ordained in 1996, and has previously served as a prison chaplain. In addition, he has extensive experience working with local and national UCC churches and organizations. New students are highly encouraged to attend!
