This is an opportunity to find grounding in the moment, and to share in that grounding energy with similarly self-directed explorers. The last ten minutes of the session are devoted to sharing aloud prayers that have been submitted during the week. If you have anyone in your heart for whom you would like to request a prayer, please use this form before 7 p.m. on the Tuesday before the session to submit your request. 18 - Journey to Freedom: Embracing God’s Cultural Mosaic of People
All day July 18, 2021 Join First Covenant Church Minneapolis and a collaboration of churches and organizations for the learning series, “Journey to Freedom: Embracing God’s Cultural Mosaic of People.” Designed by Rev. Jia Starr Brown, this annual six-week series is comprised of sermons, discussion, listening, and study. This year’s theme is “Solidarity” focused on Ecclesiastes 4:1-12. Six guest preachers will each preach from the same passage through their own cultural lens. Experience the beauty of diverse voices and perspectives throughout the Journey Series. All are invited to participate in additional learning experiences through online trainings/workshops, Bible and book studies. Continuing Education credit is available; please contact Rev. After a brief presentation on plain air painting, attendees will be encouraged to move outside to paint and sketch their local environments. Paints, oil pastels, chalk, colored pencil, and really any other medium can work for this exercise! Don’t forget the sunblock!
