    Social Transformation Project Showcase

    7:00 PM
    April 13, 2021

United’s soon-to-be-graduating Social Transformation students have done incredible projects, all furthering the work of justice. We’ll have brief presentations of each project, highlighting the learnings that came from them, with an opportunity for you to ask questions. Topics include: a creative magazine that uplifts children’s voices; effective social justice groups at a local parish; a Radical Death series that challenges both racism and our ideas about death; the planting of an LGBTQ affirming church in Southern California; and spiritual care for young people as a means of social change. Presenters include  Trista Eazel, Gabrielle Hesse, Joan Howe-Pullis, Emily Kindelspire, and Emily Stacken, with hosts Drs. Gary Green and Justin Sabia-Tanis. Please join us in celebrating these accomplishments!

    Contemplative Prayer Gathering

    8:00 AM
    April 14, 2021
All are invited to a sharedContemplative Gathering every Wednesday morning to gather together in silence and sit in communal contemplation. This is an opportunity to find grounding in the moment, and to share in that grounding energy with similarly self-directed explorers. The last ten minutes of the session are devoted to sharing aloud prayers that have been submitted during the week.
If you have anyone in your heart for whom you would like to request a prayer, please use this form before 7 p.m. on the Tuesday before the session to submit your request. Prayer requests will be accepted on a first-requested, first-offered basis until capacity (still being determined) is met for our available time. Please be brief in the wording of your requests. Please contact Scott Campbell for more information.
