    Arts Lunch: Diorama-orama! – ZOOM

    11:30 AM-1:30 PM
    April 14, 2020

In a time of confinement and quarantine, our living quarters may feel smaller and smaller by the day! To break out of this box, we will be playing with ideas of space at this week’s arts lunch. A diorama is a three-dimensional model, usually in some kind of enclosure. We invite you to create your own diorama—whether it’s of your living space, somewhere you want to visit but can’t, or something completely imagined! You can create before or during the arts lunch and we’ll share our creations. Materials can include some kind of box/enclosure, fabric, paper, and props like toys.

Many of you are wondering what will happen to your summer CPE programs. Others are experiencing challenges in your current placements as training pastors become too overwhelmed to spend time with supervision. Still others are wondering what impact institutional and structural changes will have on your academic trajectory. We don’t have all the answers, but we have some good suggestions, options, and a guide to navigate these issues. Join Karen and Sara as we sort it out together.

    BIPOC Gathering – ZOOM

    4:00 PM-5:00 PM
    April 17, 2020

Black, Indigenous, and People of Color are being hit disproportionately hard by COVID 19. (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/01/opinion/coronavirus-black-people.html; https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/28/us/american-poison-coronavirus-race.html). The reasons are part of long-held policies of oppression and white supremacy culture that does not value our lives. What can we do as BIPOC spiritual leaders to address the needs of our people who may not get a ventilator, a COVID test, or protective gear because of bias?
