United Theological Seminary

Master of Divinity in Anabaptist and Free Church Studies

This Master of Divinity program will prepare you for pastoral ministry and ordination by many denominations and/or local churches in the Anabaptist, Baptist and Free Church traditions, and other denominations and churches that claim the radical Reformation tradition or non-denominational (Free Church) contexts.

This program may be a good fit for you if you plan to pursue:

  • Ordained ministry in Anabaptist, Baptist and Free Church contexts, including non-denominational churches and progressive or “post” evangelical settings. (Consult your denomination or ordaining body to determine whether this degree meets their requirements.)
  • Chaplaincy in hospital or other professional settings (with the addition of chaplaincy certification)
  • Validated ministry in educational institutions
  • Denominational work at the local, regional, national and international levels
