About Sara Wilhelm Garbers is the Director of Formation and Contextual Learning at United Seminary and also teaches EL250: Personal and Spiritual Formation. She has been a part of enhancing the formation program at United so that it that journeys with students throughout their development while in seminary. In addition to her work at United, she is also a doctoral candidate at Loyola in Chicago, where she focuses on political ethics/theology, moral formation, narrative identity, and feminist notions of the self (her dissertation is titled: “Dangerous Memories”: Sexual Violence and Trauma – Towards a Feminist Political Theological Ethics of Memory). Sara is a board member of the Society of Christian Ethics, a sexual assault advocate, and a Pastor at First Covenant Church in Minneapolis. Contact swilhelmgarbers@unitedseminary.edu CV.
