Volunteer Opportunities

Friends
of United are people who share their time and talent in
service to the seminary. It is a shared ministry
program where people can become involved with the vision,
mission, and work of the seminary as volunteers.
It
is easy to become a Friend of United, and there is an array
of volunteer options to consider in the following areas:
- seminary
relations
- special
events
- art
exhibits
- mailings
- computer
work
- copying
and compiling materials
- landscaping
- library
assistance
- food
service
Friends
of United provides opportunities to engage in ministry
outside the local church. Our friends are a faithful and
dedicated group of women and men who are able to choose
the kind of work they want to do and the hours they want
to work. The rewards of being a volunteer are many, the
most important being that each person is considered an
invaluable resource to the seminary. For accrued hours
of service, volunteers may receive gift certificates to lunch or Cokesbury
bookstore or be given opportunities to attend events
or workshops free of charge.
