Joshua
Society
The
Joshua Society recognizes special friends who have
provided and continue to provide outstanding financial
leadership
and support of the mission of the
seminary. Members of the Joshua Society have contributed cumulative gifts
of $50,000 or more to the seminary. Each new member
of the Joshua Society is presented
with a replica statuette of “Joshua,” a work which was donated
to United in memory of Karl J. Ernst, professor of Hebrew and exegetical
theology
for
28 years at Mission House Seminary. We are deeply grateful to Joshua Society
members.
Bossard-Ward
Society
The
Bossard-Ward Society honors alumni/ae whose cumulative
giving in all categories totals $10,000 or more. The Society
commemorates Jacob Bossard, a founder, faculty, and president
of Mission House from 1875 to 1885, and Joseph Ward, who
was instrumental in founding Yankton College and Yankton
School of Theology. These founders demonstrated the vision
for providing theological education for new conditions
and needs. We honor and thank alumni/ae who sustain
that vision
today through their generous financial support of the work
of the seminary.

Barnabas
Heritage Society
The Barnabas Heritage Society recognizes friends who have
included the seminary in their estate plans or made other
deferred gifts. Many of these individuals have included United
in their wills, while others have invested in a life income
gift or insurance policy that designates the seminary as
the beneficiary. We greatly appreciate the vision and commitment
of the Barnabas Heritage Society members.
