Students come to United Theological Seminary for a host of reasons: to prepare for a vocation in ordained ministry or as a lay professional in church or society; to provide a theological foundation for work in another field such as law, medicine, journalism, or the arts; to pursue the academic study of theology; or to explore theological questions and enrich personal faith.
