Contributions can be made easily and immediately online or by other means. You may choose United as part of your annual charitable giving or arrange a Legacy Gift. Make your contribution in consultation with the development staff, who can help you understand your options.
Giving Ideas: How and What
United accepts gifts of “cash” (online giving, credit card gifts, gifts by check, cash donations), appreciated and publicly-traded securities, and other types of personal property and real estate. If you would like your gift to benefit a particular fund, scholarship or seminary need, you can specify that designation when you contact us. If you’re unsure where you would like your gift to go, talking with our development team is the easiest way to explore the gift-giving opportunities the seminary offers.
An easy way to make a gift to the Annual Fund, Scholarships or a Special Appeal. Our online giving program is secure and accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
Credit card gifts
These gifts can be made by contacting Kit Briem, 651.255.6111.
Gifts by check
Make gifts by check, payable to “United Theological Seminary,” by mailing them to the address below. If you would like your gift to benefit a particular fund, scholarship or seminary need, you can write that information in the memo line or include a note with your check. Mail your check to:
United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities
3000 Fifth Street Northwest
New Brighton, MN 55112-2598
Stocks, bonds and other securities
Giving the gift of stock also benefits the giver. If the stock has appreciated in value, the holder can avoid paying capital gains tax by giving it as a gift. Options can be discussed with Kit Briem, 651.255.6111.
To nominate United as a charitable recipient of a donor-advised fund, contact the fund administrator.

Make a tangible gift of real estate, including a gift of real estate where you retain the right to live on the property during your lifetime. Contact Bradley O. Reiners, J.D., vice president for advancement, 651.255.6164.
