The Bigelow Chapel is a tranquil and inspirational environment for memorial services, receptions, performances, concerts and other special events. The award-winning chapel is a delicate composition of floating planes of glass, frosted clerestory windows, cast stone walls, translucent curved wood panels that produce a warm glow and skylights that provide suffused light throughout the interior. Movable chairs provide a flexible venue and a Steinway grand piano graces the space. Adjoining the chapel is a large grass courtyard and stone patio; twin towers contain a set of pealing chimes.
Bigelow Chapel is available for hourly rental or four-hour blocks of time, which include setup and take-down and use of the Steinway grand piano and wireless sound system. Parking is free and plentiful.
Preferred capacity is 200. The Bigelow Chapel can accommodate up to 242 seats; this amount of seating requires a special room setup that cannot be altered and is viable only for certain types of events.

Food & Beverage
Light or heavy hors d’oeuvres may be served in Bigelow Chapel for events such as receptions, memorial services, or concerts if pre-approved by the rental coordinator; meal service is not available. Once food and beverage service is approved, the client works with the seminary chef to arrange and pay for catering. Chef Amy prepares fresh, creatively presented foods onsite, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. Dishes, silverware, glassware and white tableclothes are included. Chef Amy’s fees, services and availability are at her discretion; her services are independent of the rental and handled exclusively between her and the client.
Outside caterers are not allowed unless an exception is granted or Chef Amy is unavailable. Homemade goods or potluck items cannot be brought into the seminary under any circumstances.
Permission to serve wine or champagne is required; alcoholic service is not provided by the seminary. If wine or champagne are brought in, serving arrangements must be made by the client. Beer and hard liquor are not permitted. Also, red wine and purple- or red-based beverages are not allowed in Bigelow Chapel due to staining concerns.
