Renting the Bigelow Chapel for Special Events

The Bigelow Chapel is available for memorial services, receptions, performances, concerts, and other special events. The award-winning chapel is a delicate composition of floating planes of glass, frosted clerestory windows, cast stone walls, and translucent curved wood panels that cast a warm glow and create a tranquil and inspirational environment. Skylights provide suffused light throughout the interior. Movable chairs provide a flexible venue. A Steinway grand piano graces the space. Twin towers contain a set of pealing chimes. A large grass courtyard adjoins the chapel.

Bigelow Chapel is available for hourly rental or 4-hour blocks of time, which include set up and take down, use of the grand piano, and a wireless sound system. Parking is free and plentiful. For most events, capacity is 200. Please note that because of the skylights and many windows, the space is not an appropriate venue for PowerPoint presentations, videos showings, or similar visual productions during daylight hours.

$150.00/hr or $500.00/4 hrs

Staffing Costs
If beyond regular hours,
staff person for opening, closing, security, custodial: $35.00/hr
Otherwise, no charge.
Staff person for opening, closing, security, custodial:
f a staff person is required to be on-site for the event
(at United's sole discretion),
an additional $35.00/hr is charged.

Regular Open Hours

When classes are in session:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7:30 AM-9:00 PM
Wednesday and Friday: 7:30 AM-5:30 PM
- Occasionally, classes are in session from 10 AM-2:00 PM on Saturdays. You may inquire about these dates as needed.

When classes are not in session:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7:30 AM-5:30 PM

Wednesday and Friday: 7:30 AM-5:30 PM

Event Services Include:

• Up to four hours use of Bigelow Chapel
• Use of Steinway grand piano
Use of wireless sound system (WiFi not available)
• Basic audio set up
• Altar and pulpit or lectern
• Podium for guest book
• Free off-street parking

• Custodial services
• Air conditioning
