Unitarian Universalist Students
United
has a long tradition of relating
to and working with Unitarian Universalist churches in the
upper Midwest. UU students value United for its open
and inclusive stances, its commitment to social justice,
and
the ways in
which it nurtures and supports students in their own spiritual
journeys. At United, UU students will find:
An
opportunity to engage theologians from the UU tradition as
a routine part of academic work;
UU
tailored readings, courses, and history and polity are offered
on a regular basis by UU adjunct faculty;
Mentoring
in well-chosen field placements by UU clergy;
As
a significant community within United, there are opportunities
for UU students to meet together and to engage one another,
including an ongoing student discussion group;
UU
students share in the leadership of community worship,
Singing
the Living Tradition is one of the seminary hymnals;
All
students at United have access to the seminary’s
generous program of financial
aid;
and
UU
graduates serve the church in a wide range of ministries
throughout the country.
