Duluth Extension Program

The Duluth Extension Program is currently on hiatus. If you are interested in ‘not for credit’ classes in religion, theology, and the Bible, check out the Academy for Vital Christianity courses being offered in Duluth.

At the invitation of a consortium of partner congregations in Duluth, Minn., United has established a program of graduate theological education in Duluth in order to serve northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. Courses meet during the fall and spring terms in the school’s academic calendar; the seminary has been approved to offer two courses in each term on an ongoing basis.

Courses offered will be selected primarily to serve two populations: non-degree students taking courses for personal interest and enrichment and beginning degree students who wish to start a Master’s program without having to travel to the Twin Cities until later in their studies. Students in a degree program may complete approximately one quarter of an M.Div. or one third of an M.A. or M.A.R.L. degree through courses in the Duluth program.
