Art Studio
The classroom wing (Gunnemann Hall) is home to an art studio space. The Art Studio provides a place for gathering in community to create, discover, and explore.
 |
The Art Studio is available as a creative break between classes, a gathering space for working on projects, and an environment in which students can process what they are learning in their classes.
Throughout the year, the Art Studio will be host to Open Studios (times for the United community to come together and create) and community led workshops.
We invite you to stop by the room, take part in a workshop, and join in the creative process. |
What Can You Do in the Art Studio? |
1. Stop by and do something creative on your own or in a group.
- Draw a picture of something you have been learning about in a class.
- Make a collage that helps you to process a lecture or reading.
- Be still and see how God is speaking to you in a moment of reflective creativity.
2. Do some writing.
- Arrange your thoughts with magnetic poetry.
- Work on a poem.
- Write a story.
3. Sign up to do an arts demonstration or plan your own event.
|
Funds for the Art Studio came from generous gifts from the classes of 2004 and 2008.
