Eleazar Fernandez, professor of constructive theology
Eleazar's newly published, edited volume Teaching for a Culturally Diverse and Racially Just World gathers the voices of minoritized scholars and their white allies around questions of integrity, pedagogy, and theology in theological education with respect to diversity and justice in the classroom and the world. Contributors: Fumitaka Matsuoka, Elizabeth Conde-Frazier, David Maldonado, Julia Speller, Boyung Lee, Willie James Jennings, Paul Myhre.

Sarah Bellamy, visiting professor of theatre and culture
Sarah has been promoted to co-artistic director of Penumbra Theatre, the largest and only professional African American theatre company in Minnesota. Sarah will serve alongside her father, Lou Bellamy, for three years before becoming sole leader of Penumbra in 2017. Her ascension will make her one of the country’s youngest, most high-profile, female theatre leaders.

Eleazar has been appointed president of Union Theological Seminary in Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines. He will continue to work with United.
Cindi Beth Johnson, director of the program in arts, faith & culture
Cindi Beth was awarded a Creative Community Leadership Institute (CCLI) Fellowship from Minneapolis arts organization Intermedia Arts. CCLI is one of a handful of programs in the country that provides comprehensive, professional-level training and support for local community-engaged artists and community developers.
