Doctor of Ministry Tuition and Fees 2013-2014

Tuition is billed per credit hour as the student registers for courses. Fees are billed as they fall due. Tuition and fees are reviewed annually and may be changed as a result.

General Fees
Technology Fee	$95.00	Fall/Spring.
Course Drop Fee	$75.00	Dropping a course on or after the first day of the term; does not apply if another course is added in its place.
Deferred or Late Payment Fee	$50.00	Payable each occurrence of late or deferred payment. Non-refundable.
Non-sufficient Funds Fee	$50.00	Payable each time a check is returned.
Late Registration Fee	$75.00	Except for independent studies and projects.

Doctor of Ministry Tuition and Fees
Tuition (per semester credit hour)	$526.00
Continuation Fee	$250.00	Payable per quarter after first four years in program.
Thesis Fee	$675.00	Half payable when thesis is registered, remaining half when completed.
Graduation Fee	$275.00	One-time fee paid with petition to graduate. Pays for thesis printing and binding, cap and gown, and other graduation expenses.
Graduation Fee (Module 1 or Module 2 only)	$100.00	One-time fee paid with petition to graduate. Pays for cap and gown and other graduation expenses.
Application Fee	$50.00	One-time, non-refundable, paid at application for admission.
Application Fee for Module 1 only	$25.00	One-time, non-refundable, paid at application for admission to Module 1. To continue on to Module 2, an additional $25.00 is payable at application.
Assessment Fee	$120.00	Pays a portion of the costs of assessment at North Central Ministry Development Center (included in Module 1).
Conformation Fee	$100.00	Non-refundable, applied toward tuition.

At the current year’s tuition and fee schedule, the cost to complete Module 1 and earn a Certificate of Ministry Renewal and Professional Development, including tuition, admit fee, testing, technology fee, and grad fee, is $1,918.

At the current year’s tuition and fee schedule, the cost for a D.Min. degree done over four years, including admit fee, testing, technology fee, tuition, thesis fee, and grad fee, is $17,540.

All tuition and fees are subject to annual adjustment.

Students are responsible for costs of travel and housing connected with attendance at classes in this program. Tuition and fees do not cover books and materials or costs for other services rendered in study.

Financial Aid

Government Loans

United participates in the Federal Family Education Program. Federal subsidized and unsubsidized Stafford loans are available to students who show need through the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Use the following school code to make your FAFSA accessible to United’s director of financial aid: G02386.

In order to be eligible for a Stafford student loan, a D.Min. student must be enrolled at least half-time in the D.Min. program, which is equivalent to 3 credits each half year. Should a student’s enrollment fall below half-time, that student is no longer eligible for the loan. In addition, payments on any prior loans can no longer be deferred.

Other Financial Resources

D.Min. students are not eligible for institutional financial aid whether need- or merit-based. At this time, no scholarships are available.

Grants, loans, and merit scholarships are sometimes available from various judicatories, individual congregations, and foundations. The D.Min. office is working on a booklet of financial resources for Doctor of Ministry students.
