Financial
Aid
Government
Loans
United
participates in the Federal Family Education Program. Federal
subsidized and unsubsidized Stafford loans are available to students
who show need through the completion of the Free Application
for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Use the following school code
to make your FAFSA accessible to United’s director of financial
aid: G02386.
In
order to be eligible for a Stafford student loan, a D.Min. student
must be enrolled at least half-time in the D.Min. program, which
is equivalent to 3 credits each half year. Should a student’s
enrollment fall below half-time, that student is no longer eligible
for the loan. In addition, payments on any prior loans can no
longer be deferred.
Other
Financial Resources
D.Min.
students are not eligible for institutional financial aid whether
need- or merit-based. At this time, no scholarships are available.
Grants, loans,
and merit scholarships are sometimes available from various judicatories,
individual congregations, and foundations. The D.Min. office is
working on a booklet of financial resources for Doctor of Ministry
students.
