Unitarian Universalist Association Students
|
 |
United has a long tradition of relating to and working with Unitarian Universalist
Association churches. UUA students value United for its open and inclusive stances and
commitment to social justice. UUA graduates serve the church
in a wide range of ministries throughout the country. Students
will find a curriculum that satisfies the requirements of
the denomination and offers these resources:
|
| |
- One member of the staff is and one trustee are Unitarian Universalist Association:
- An opportunity to engage theologians from the UUA tradition
as a routine part of academic work;
- History and polity, as well as specific UUA courses, are
offered on a regular basis by UUA adjunct faculty;
- UUA clergy act as mentors to students in carefully chosen
field placements;
- UUA students, faculty, staff and clergy meet together
in an ongoing discussion group;
- Ecumenical worship at United means that UUA students,
faculty, staff and clergy have the opportunity to lead
worship in their own tradition as well as experience worship in
a variety of styles and traditions;
- Singing the Living
Tradition is a worship resource at the seminary;
and
- All students at United have access to the seminary’s
generous program of financial
aid.

would like an alum or current UUA student to contact

“My own identity as a Unitarian Universalist has been
affirmed and deepened while my understanding of liberal Christian
theology has been greatly enriched. As a place where faith,
reason, and action are integrated every day in class and in
the UTS community, this seminary models what it teaches and
has profoundly shaped my faith, my life, and my future ministry.”
– Karen Hering, M.Div. 2008
