“My spiritual hunger has been fed, and I have indeed heard a call. I will always look upon this institution as being an extremely formative force
in my life.”
– Don Hanna, M.Div. 2008

| Presbyterian
Church (U.S.A.) Students |
Presbyterian
Church (U.S.A.) students will find that United is a seminary
rooted in the reformed tradition. PC (U.S.A.) graduates serve
the church in a wide range of ministries throughout the country.
Students will find a curriculum that satisfies the requirements
of the denomination and offers these resources:
- Three members of the resident faculty and one member of the staff are Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.):
- PC (U.S.A.) clergy act as mentors to students in carefully
chosen field placements;
- History and polity is taught each year by PC (U.S.A.)
faculty;
- Elective courses on John Calvin and Reformed theological
traditions are offered each year;
- A study of the Book of Confessions
is available as part of preparation for ordination;
- Ecumenical worship at United means that PC (U.S.A.) students,
faculty, staff, and clergy have the opportunity to lead
worship in their own tradition as well as experience worship in
a variety of styles and traditions.
- The Presbyterian
Hymnal is a worship resource at
the seminary; and
- All students at United have access to the seminary’s
generous program of financial
aid. In addition, the Mary Bigelow McMillan scholarship
program provides up to full tuition for entering PC (U.S.A.)
students.
I
would like an alum or current PC (U.S.A.) student to contact me.
